Are my photos uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser and processed on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server, so there is nothing for us to keep.
What quality should I choose?
For photos, 70 to 80 keeps them looking sharp at a fraction of the size. WebP is usually 25 to 35 percent smaller than JPEG at the same visual quality.
Why is my PNG not getting smaller?
PNG is lossless, so a quality slider cannot shrink it. Convert it to JPEG or WebP here, or reduce its width, and the size drops sharply.
