Photo location finder: questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser and processed on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server, so there is nothing for us to keep.
Why does my photo show no location?
The camera may have had location turned off, or the file is a copy: screenshots, edited exports and photos sent through most messaging apps and social networks usually lose their location. Try the original from the phone's gallery.
Can you find the location of any photo?
Only if the location is stored in the file. This tool reads that data; it does not guess a place from what the picture shows.
Does opening the map link share my photo?
No. The map link only contains the coordinates, and they leave your device only if you click it. The photo itself is never sent anywhere.
