Are my iPhone photos uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser and processed on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server, so there is nothing for us to keep.
Why does my iPhone use HEIC?
HEIC stores the same quality as JPG in roughly half the space. You can switch the camera to JPG in iPhone Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible.
Is quality lost when converting HEIC to JPG?
Very little at 90 quality; the JPG is simply larger. Choose PNG on the HEIC to PNG page if you need a lossless copy.
