Post a whole photo on Instagram without cropping
Wide and tall photos lose their edges on Instagram. Put the whole picture inside a square, portrait or Story frame instead, on a soft blurred background or a plain colour, and post it uncropped. Your photo is processed on your device.

Instagram no-crop: questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser and processed on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server, so there is nothing for us to keep.
Why does Instagram crop my photos?
Feed posts must be between 1.91:1 landscape and 4:5 portrait, so anything wider or taller is cropped. Fitting the photo into an allowed frame with a background keeps all of it.
Which frame should I choose?
4:5 portrait uses the most screen space in the feed, 1:1 is the classic look and matches older grids, and 9:16 is for Stories and Reels.
