Is the PNG uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read by your browser and processed on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server, so there is nothing for us to keep.
What happens to transparent parts?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with white. Keep the PNG (or use WebP) if you need the transparency.
Will the JPG be smaller?
For photos and screenshots with many colours, usually much smaller. Flat graphics with few colours can stay smaller as PNG.
