Why is the PNG so large?
PNG keeps every pixel without compression loss, so a 12-megapixel photo can be 15 to 25 MB. Use HEIC to JPG for a smaller file.
Does this keep Live Photo motion?
No. Only the still image is converted; the motion part of a Live Photo is a separate video file.
