# AI image and video prompts

https://getluren.com keeps free, copy-ready prompt libraries written for the web: one per model, and 254 photo idea collections by occasion, place and look. Use them as starting points; adapt the subject, place and light to what the person wants.

## How to write a photo prompt

- Write full sentences, the way you would brief a photographer, rather than a pile of keywords.
- Say who or what is in the picture, where, what they wear or hold, and what they are doing.
- Add light (golden hour, soft window light, flash), camera (close-up, low angle, 35mm) and mood.
- When editing a photo, name the one change and say what must stay the same: the face, the pose, the background.
- For a portrait of the person themselves, the result looks like them only when their photo is attached as a reference.

## Prompt libraries by model

### Nano Banana Pro
https://getluren.com/prompts/nano-banana-pro/ (18 prompts)
- Brief it like a creative director: subject, composition, action, location and style, plus the aspect ratio you need.
- Give camera and lighting direction in photographer's terms, such as shallow depth of field, golden-hour backlight or a low angle.
- Spell out every word that should appear, in quotation marks, with its placement and typeface style, then check small print in the result.

### Nano Banana 2
https://getluren.com/prompts/nano-banana-2/ (18 prompts)
- Write the prompt as a scene description with subject, setting, lighting and style, rather than a list of tags.
- Put the exact words you want in the image in quotation marks and describe the lettering style and where it sits.
- To translate a sign, menu or poster in your image, name the target language and ask to keep the layout, fonts and colors the same.

### Nano Banana 2.1
https://getluren.com/prompts/nano-banana-2-1/ (21 prompts)
- For a series, describe the character once in detail (face, hair, outfit and one signature accessory) and repeat that description word for word in every prompt.
- Refine one change at a time, such as a new place or a new pose, and say each time that the face and outfit stay exactly the same.
- Put every word you want rendered in quotation marks, and say where it sits and what the lettering looks like.

### Nano Banana 2 Lite
https://getluren.com/prompts/nano-banana-2-lite/ (22 prompts)
- Keep it short: one subject, one setting, one style and the shape you want are usually enough for a strong draft.
- Ask for one simple edit at a time, such as a new color, a new background or a sticker version, rather than a long list of changes.
- Pick the aspect ratio before you write, because an 8:1 banner, a 1:4 wallpaper and a square post each need their own composition.

### Nano Banana
https://getluren.com/prompts/nano-banana/ (18 prompts)
- Describe the scene in full sentences, as you would brief a photographer, instead of stacking comma-separated keywords.
- When editing your photo, name the one thing to change and say what must stay the same, such as your face, pose and background.
- Edit in small steps, because one change per request keeps faces and details steadier than a long list of changes at once.

### GPT Image 2.5
https://getluren.com/prompts/gpt-image-2-5/ (18 prompts)
- Order the prompt as scene, subject, key details, then constraints, and say what the image is for, such as an ad, a menu or a profile photo.
- For edits, ask to change only the one element and repeat what must stay the same, such as face, pose, lighting and layout.
- Use Sunburst when you plan several rounds of edits on the same picture, and Flare for quick drafts and variations.

### GPT Image 2
https://getluren.com/prompts/gpt-image-2/ (17 prompts)
- Put the exact wording in quotation marks and ask for it to appear once, spelled exactly as written.
- Describe typography as constraints: font style, weight, color, size and where each line sits on the canvas.
- Choose medium or high quality for small print, dense layouts or several fonts; low is fine for quick concept drafts.

### Seedream 4.5
https://getluren.com/prompts/seedream-4-5/ (18 prompts)
- Write short, precise sentences covering subject, action and setting; one clear description works better than a long string of adjectives.
- Refer to your uploads as image 1, image 2 and so on, and give each a role: the face, the outfit, the product or the background.
- For edits, start with an action word such as add, remove, replace or modify, and state what must stay unchanged.

### Seedream 5
https://getluren.com/prompts/seedream-5/ (18 prompts)
- Spell out spatial relationships, such as what is on the left, in front, behind or being held, because the model follows multi-part layouts well.
- Write in the language you think in, since prompts in many languages work, and quote any text that should appear exactly.
- Use Lite to test compositions and wording quickly, then rerun the best prompt on Pro for a cleaner, more precise result.

### Grok Imagine
https://getluren.com/prompts/grok-imagine/ (18 prompts)
- Name one strong visual style up front, such as screen print, clay stop-motion, synthwave or oil painting, and let the rest of the prompt serve it.
- Because results come back fast, generate a few variations and refine the prompt between rounds instead of writing one very long prompt.
- For photo edits, state the change in a single plain sentence and say what to keep, such as your face or the composition.

### Qwen-Image 3.0
https://getluren.com/prompts/qwen-image-3/ (21 prompts)
- Describe the layout before the content: the format, the grid, and what sits in the header, the body and the footer.
- Write every piece of text exactly as it should appear, in quotation marks, and say which language each line is in.
- Break a long brief into numbered sections, one per panel or block, so each part of the image has its own instructions.

### Veo 3.1
https://getluren.com/prompts/veo-3-1/ (18 prompts)
- Structure the prompt as shot and camera move, subject, action, setting, then style and mood, written as full sentences.
- Put spoken lines in quotation marks after the speaker, and add sound separately with labels like SFX: and Ambient noise:.
- Describe what you want rather than what you don't, for example an empty beach with no footprints instead of a list of things to remove.

### Kling
https://getluren.com/prompts/kling/ (18 prompts)
- Use the formula subject plus movement: say who or what moves and exactly how, in short, simple sentences.
- Don't re-describe your photo; spend the words on motion, camera behavior and atmosphere the still image cannot show.
- Keep actions plausible for the scene, because complex physics such as juggling or a bouncing ball is still hard to render well.

### Seedance
https://getluren.com/prompts/seedance/ (18 prompts)
- Direct rather than describe vaguely: give each clip one subject, one concrete action and one camera move, then lighting and style.
- Avoid conflicting camera instructions in the same clip, such as a fast zoom in combined with a slow pull back.
- For longer clips, split the prompt into timed beats such as 0-3s, 3-6s and 6-10s, and keep each beat simple enough to fit its slot.

### Sora 2 (shut down: use the prompts in Veo 3.1 or Kling)
https://getluren.com/prompts/sora-2/ (24 prompts)
- Write it like a shot list: camera and framing first, then the subject, the action, the setting and the light, in full sentences.
- Sora 2 heard dialogue in quotation marks, and so does Veo 3.1: put the line after the speaker, and add sound on its own line with SFX: and Ambient noise:.
- Give each clip one beat. A whole story in one prompt was rushed on Sora 2 and is rushed on any model; make several short clips instead.
